We need more men like Spurgeon, one of the most beautiful men that have ever lived. He had a large heart for the glory of God and a deep care for His sheep. A joyful man with great wit yet well acquaint with the depths of pain and depression. People came from all over to hear him preach the Gospel, yet were more glad to have heard him pray. I recommend this biography if you care to learn more of this man. http://www.amazon.com/Spurgeon-Biography-Arnold-Dallimore/dp/0851514510
“Incoherencies in matter, and suppositions without proofs put handsomely together in good words and a plausible style, are apt to pass for strong reason and good sense, till they come to be look’d into with attention.” -John Locke
How sad it is for a man to fall in the arms of a charming fool. His countenance bears no defect while his honey like speech poisons the soul. He caresses your ears then robs you of understanding. He says, “Follow me to this sacred land of pleasure.” There is nothing but desolation. Seek wisdom and understanding so that no man leads you astray.

Who knows the heart of man like their lover? The relationship between a man and his lover is distinct compared to that of his friends. A man might have many friends as loved as friendship allows, yet they remain unaware of his deepest and most private affections. They may know occasionally the secrets of his heart, but its deepest places remain closed. Who is like the lover that knows his most secret places, the depths of his soul? She is a jewel amongst the stones, a distinct star of affection, and an ever setting sun on a tranquil hill. She is a delicate treasure, a privileged creature.
“What an unpleasant experience it is when someone you have supposed to be quite distinguished reveals his true, inferior nature.” -Kenko
